What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a method of protective finish that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint, which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat – meaning less pollution and faster finish. The result is a more durable and color-accurate finish guaranteed to help your equipment last longer and look better. It's a little bit like paint on steroids, without all the bad stuff (solvent).

Is powder coating the same as painting?

No. Powder coating is a dry powder that uses no solvent, resulting in low environmental impact. Powder coating is also more durable, vibrant, color accurate, and versatile than liquid paint.

What are the advantages of powder coating?

  • Durablility

  • Color brightness and vibrance

  • Color-accuracy

  • Versatility

  • Eco-friendly

  • Fast

  • Cost-efficient

What materials can be powder coated?

Virtually any type of metal can be powder coated, so long as the metal can hold electrostatic charge and tolerate the high heat levels necessary for the curing process. Powder coating can also be applied to many non-metal materials, such as glass, plastic, and even wood. Every project is different - get a free quote today to see if your materials can be powder coated!

Is powder coating expensive?

The short answer is no, powder coating is very cost-effective when compared to other coating processes, even though it provides many advantages. However, the cost varies based on the project requirements. We are happy to provide a free quote for your project, just leave us a message below!

What is the environmental impact of powder coating?

Powder Coating is highly protective of our environment compared to other coating solutions. While liquid finishes contain solvent, which have pollutants known as volatile organic compounds (VOC), powder coating contains no solvents and release little-to-no VOC into the atmosphere.
